Line, Simultaneous and Quadratic Graphing Skills

Hello guys, in this post I am going to share the three types of line graphing skills. I will post the URL to download the article for free! This notes is suitable for Grade 8 O-Level Cambridge-based International School. This notes will discuss the three different types of line graphs with the understandings and solutions. Those three are Line Graph (General) with its formula and examples of figures, Simultaneous Line Graph which is the intersection point of two seperate line graphs and Quadratic Line Graphs which also known as Parabolic Graph.

Additional Informations from the pdf note :

  1. In IGCSE test, those seven steps for finding the answer of a quadratic graph formulas are not too needed, because they only ask you only to draw, not finding the min. of max. turning point, discriminant, etc. So in order to draw a perfect parabolic graph, just use the table of x and y equations finder just like what is shown in the pdf at the Line Graph (General) - Example format. You should input the "x"based on a certain range such as -3<x>6 means the x value should have a minimum value of -3 and maximum value of 6. This could be determine by doing the a-g steps in the Quadratic Graph section in the pdf note, absolutely at the summary box of the formula @ letter B. It is said that x =  -4 or x = 1, so it means that x should have minimum value of -4 and maximum value of 1. But the steps a to g will be needed if in the test, there's already given for the range of "x" value.
  2. For the simultaneous line graphs formulas, sometimes it is not simple or just like 3x + 4y = 12 and for the other formula is 8x + 4y = 10. So, we can solve this raw line graphs' formulas by doing elimination to both of formulas so that it may help us to know exactly what could be the intersected point. But "Elimination" topic will be discussed in another notes. To know for this elemination method, you may ask your teacher futher.
